My belief is that abuse and trauma of any kind, but particularly sexual abuse, can shatter some parts of the self and that narrative counseling can help to re-construct a sense of value and identity in survivors’ lives. Part of this process is navigating the connection between the effects of trauma and the communities and relationships that surround an individual.
The fundamental principles of my practice are curiosity, non-judgement, collaboration and hope. I firmly believe that each individual is unique and therefore the solutions that will free them from the influence of problems will also be unique. The goal of therapy is to connect you with resources, both internally and in the world, rather than to keep you in the counseling room.
Psychedelics can be potent catalysts for change when properly integrated. This process of integration involves building bridges from the world's sensations and insights of psychedelic experiences to the shores that hold our values, bodies, and choices.
