Offerings
Individual Narrative Counseling
Please consider this an invitation to a different kind of conversation. It is an invitation to look at things in a new way. The world that we live in can tell us troubling stories about ourselves and we can often internalize these narratives. You are invited to re-define your relationships with these stories and discover what possibilities exist beyond their limiting influences. You are invited to explore, to heal and to thrive. You are invited to be in the world in new ways. I can help.
Individual Counseling Sessions
Individual counseling sessions with me (currently offered via secure telehealth) focus on creating plans and experiments to disrupt patterns and help you get unstuck. These sessions look very different for each individual but could include values discussions, letter writing, meditation and mindfulness practices, movement, somatic exploration, imaginative explorations, playfulness, humor, dreaming, and journaling.
Background
My background is as a narrative therapist, but I utilize aspects of many other traditions that allow me to tailor counseling to each person I work with and accommodate their communication style, culture, and worldview. As a result of this approach, a lot of work can be accomplished in a relatively short period of time, and many problems can be addressed in 6-12 sessions (longer term therapy is available as long as it is consistently useful).
Who I Work With
I work with all kinds of wonderful humans who are contending with stuckness in some shape or form, however, these are some communities I have extensive experience supporting:
Men
Adult Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse
The LGBTQIA+ Community
Those Diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder

Therapeutic Walks
I offer 90-minute therapeutic walks at The Botanic Gardens, The Museum of Nature and Science or another park of your choosing as an adjunct to other therapeutic services or as a stand-alone experience. Getting out and moving our bodies while engaging with our senses can change the conversation and allow new ideas to emerge more easily. I believe that the most potent healing force available to us is the disruption of our routines and patterns.
If you aren’t sure about therapy, or about working with me, scheduling a stand-alone therapeutic walk can be a wonderful way to get to know me or to discuss a particular challenge or decision that you are struggling with.

Brief Tune-Up Calls
One of the shortfalls of traditional therapy is that it happens only during prescribed times and often we have lost the thread of our concern by the time that the next scheduled session rolls around. For ongoing, established clients, I offer 20-minute calls and can typically find you a spot within 24 hours. During these brief calls, we will jump right in and address a specific decision, concern or the result of a therapeutic experiment. These calls offer an opportunity to touch base while an idea is fresh and alive. We waste no time on pleasantries and focus on a specific goal. The intention of these calls is not to provide crisis support but rather to catch optimal moments for transformation.
Community & Intensives
Healing, disruption and movement don’t just happen in traditional counseling sessions. For many who experience deep stuckness, are differently abled, or have unique life circumstances, it is important to have healing conversations and experiences come to them or move out in the community. I offer home-based services for folks who need them, whether contending with anxiety about leaving the house, dealing with hoarding, having a newborn at home or for any other reason. It can also be helpful at times to get out and practice things together. We can discuss a plan to create services that best suit your situation and goals.
Intensives
For those who have reached a new place in their journey, have just finished a piece of healing work that they would like to solidify and for those who need a lot of containment before processing trauma, I offer Intensives. These are sessions longer than 3 hours (up to 8) that focus on a definitional ceremony, rite of passage or deep healing from trauma. I have worked as a psychedelic assisted therapist and can offer support for ketamine-assisted therapy. I provide no-chemical medicine journeys as well, using breath, music and mindfulness alongside time and introspection to create a space where you can move inward and use your innate healing wisdom to encounter new ideas and integrate new parts of yourself.
